21 Years of Thanksgiving Tradition 🦃
Get ready for the 21st annual Gobble Gallop and kick off your Thanksgiving morning with one of Duluth’s favorite holiday traditions!
Choose your way to join the fun with three events for the whole family: the Gobble Gallop 5K, Tough Turkey 1 Mile, or Gobble Giddy Up! Kids’ Run. All three events start and finish on London Road, bringing runners, walkers, families, and friends together for a morning of movement, fun, and Thanksgiving spirit.
As one of the largest running events in Northern Minnesota, the Gobble Gallop welcomes nearly 2,000 participants each year. Get ready to feel the energy and camaraderie as you make your way through Duluth alongside a community ready to run, walk, cheer, and celebrate together!

Gobble Gallop 5K
Increases to $39.16 after the first 200 people register. (155 spots left) Registration ends November 26, 2026 at 9:00am CST
Tough Turkey 1-Mile
Increases to $26.44 after the first 75 people register. (68 spots left) Registration ends November 26, 2026 at 8:30am CST

Race Information
Sign Up opens on September 1st, 2026 and closes on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26th 2026 at the following times:
- Gobble Gallop 5K sign up closes at 9:00 AM on Thanksgiving Day.
- Tough Turkey 1-Mile sign up closes at 8:30 AM on Thanksgiving Day.
- Gobble Giddy Up! Kids Run sign up closes at 8:15 AM on Thanksgiving Day.
All registration is through this site only. There is no paper registration. If you require assistance with registering for the races please visit Duluth Running Co. and our staff would be happy to assist you in signing up for the Gobble Gallop.

- You do not need your ID, confirmation email or QR code for check-in & pick up
- You may check-in & pick up other participants' bibs
- Bring your own bag, to reduce waste we do not provide bags or packets at check-in
- Arrive early for Thanksgiving Day Check-in- there are always a long lines for bibs and restrooms!
Gobble Gallop 2026 Pricing Tiers will be published when Sign-Up opens on September 1st, 2026.
Parking for the Gobble Gallop can be tricky but there are plenty of options.
- Rose Garden Parking Lot
- Superior St. east of 10th Ave E.
- London Rd. east of 14th Ave E.
- Nearby avenues above London Road between 12th Ave E & 21st Ave E.
Road Closures
Superior Street will be closed from 10th Ave E to 5th Ave W.
London Rd. will be closed from 10th Ave E & Superior St. to 14th Ave E.
Awards will be presented at the Gobble Gallop Big Tent, beginning at 10:30 AM.
Your Results: Minutes after you finish- check your individual results by scanning the QR code on your race bib.
Overall awards will be announced and provided to the top 3 finishers by gender catagory for the 5K and the 1-Mile for men, women, and non-binary catagories, as well as age divisions by gender catagory as detailed below.
Age group awards will be provided to the top 3 finishers in each of the following age groups by gender category for the 5K & 1-Mile: Men, Non-binary, and Women <10, 11-14,15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+.
We will continue our long standing tradition of presenting pies to award winners courtesy of Gobble Gallop supporting partner, SuperOne Foods.
5K Course Map
Gobble Gallop 5K
The 5K is an out and back course through downtown Duluth. Starting on London Road near the Rose Garden- the course follows London Road & Superior Street to 5th Ave. West and back.
Tough Turkey 1-Mile
The 1-Mile starts and finishes near the Rose Garden on London Road, the course follows Superior Street to the historic Fitger's Hotel and back.
Gobble Giddy Up!
Kids Run
The Kids Run is on London Road, and starts and finishes at the Rose Garden.
Ages: Kids 8 & under are eligible to participate in this race.
