Virtual Event Information


The Gobble Gallop Virtual Race Timeline:

All participants will receive a link to submit their virtual time on Tuesday, November 24th, with the link going live on Thursday, November 26th. All participants have from Thursday, November 26th until Thursday, December 3rd to complete their virtual event and submit their results. 


Packet Pickup 

Where: Duluth Running Co.

When: Monday, November 23rd 10-7 | Tuesday, November 24th 10-7 | Wednesday, November 25th, 12-8 | Friday, November 27th 10-6 | Saturday, November 28th 10-5

Duluth Running Company will only mail out packets to those who live outside of a 30 mile radius of Duluth city limits. If your address falls outside of the 30 mile radius, please reach out to be put on the mailing list. If you live within this radius, we ask that you please pick up your packet during the designated packet pickup times. We encourage one person to pick up multiple packets to limit group gathering at the packet pickup site.


There will still be race day fun! 

Tune in Live on Race Day! We are bringing back the original schedule of events which you can tune into via Facebook or Instagram Live. 

9:00am: Want to see what it would look like to have two turkeys race? We begin with the Gobble Giddy Up ¼ mile, where our two turkeys duke it out for a ¼ mile. Which turkey is going to take home the gold in the Giddy up?

9:10am: The Tough Turkey 1 Mile Kicks off! See Alisha and Kelcie go head-to-head in a 1 mile race. Who will win the prize for the toughest turkey?

9:30am: We commence with the main course: the Gobble Gallop 5K. Tune in with us as we all run the Gobble Gallop 5K with you.

Impact

The Gobble Gallop is organized by Duluth Running Co. a for profit company. The Gobble Gallop will raise a minimum of $3,000 for Second Harvest Northern Food Bank from the event and it’s gift matching sponsors.


Pricing Structure:

10/1-10/31: $35.00 with Shirt | $30.00 without Shirt

11/1-Race Day: $40.00 with Shirt | $35.00 without Shirt


Why this event went virtual:

We came to this decision after much consideration among the events staff and consultation with our partners at the City of Duluth and Essentia Health, we have made the extremely difficult decision to move the Gobble Gallop to a completely virtual event. 

For the 15th Anniversary of this event  we were looking forward to celebrating it with you in person, even in a smaller capacity. However, due to the new gathering guidelines put in place by Governor Walz on Tuesday, November 10th and the peaking numbers of those affected by Covid-19 in St. Louis County, we feel it is in the best interest of our athletes, staff, volunteers and our community as a whole to not host this event in person. We are an organization that promotes health and wellness, and the last thing we want to do is jeopardize the health of the community we serve.
